This group focuses on day-to-day living. After years of alcohol or drug abuse, many people have not developed some of the basic life skills. These groups will address issues that allow successful skills to be practiced and will increase an individual’s ability to live a sober, fulfilling life.
This forum allows men and women to discuss and resolve underlying emotional issues that often hinder sobriety. Past behaviors, habits and beliefs are discussed on a individual basis, using the group process. This technique helps to develop productive ways to handle new and difficult situations.
Learning how to enjoy life and live sober is a lifetime objective achieved one day at a time. We will identify “triggers” that so often lead to relapse. Our focus in this group is on how to make positive changes in our daily behavior that might lead to relapse after leaving rehab.
