Drug Treatment Center

What is a Drug Treatment Center?

A drug treatment center is designed to specifically provide rehabilitation services for addicts actively suffering from drug addiction. Over the years, however, drug treatment centers have begun to understand and deal with dual-diagnoses – those with other mental and substance abuse disorders. At the Pat Moore Foundation we treat each patient as an individual, focusing on and addressing their primary physical, psychological, social, and emotional needs.

With a variety of scientifically based approaches to drug treatment, the Pat Moore Foundation, for more than 25 years, has included behavioral therapy (such as counseling, cognitive therapy, or psychotherapy), medications, or a combination of each for all of our clients. Teaching ways to cope with drug cravings, how to avoid drugs, how to prevent relapse, and how to deal with relapse if it does occur are all strategies each recovering addict learns about in our drug treatment center.

Why the Pat Moore Foundation Drug Treatment Center?

Because we specialize in programs that feature medically-assisted detoxification, and we’ve understood for many years there are many factors contributing to our clients’ addictions. We strive to give each recovering addict the individual attention they deserve – no two drug addicts are alike. Factors such as; drugs used, drug use levels, age, gender, family history, and tolerance level are all part of this dynamic, so understanding this is what makes us unique in our own right.

How Does Our Drug Treatment Center Work?

We create a safe detoxification environment that is first and foremost. We strive to ensure a comfortable, home-like environment because we’ve come to know this is crucial to our clients’ state of mind.

When each client enters our 44-bed facility they are assigned a case manager who is a Certified Addiction Specialist, and contingent upon the client’s physical well-being, and intake evaluation, each will continue to participate in counseling sessions with their case manager as well as group therapy. If a medically-managed detoxification is needed upon arrival we will assist each client with what is best needed. With most opioid addiction detoxifications we use Suboxone, but again all of our clients are assessed on an individual basis. In addition to this, if a client needs further medical attention, the Costa Mesa and Newport Beach area have renowned hospitals within minutes of the Pat Moore Foundation’s Costa Mesa campus and facility.

Alone, detoxification is rarely sufficient in terms of fostering long-term abstinence so we strongly recommend our residential treatment of 90-days. Our minimum stay is 30-days, and each includes a customized drug abuse treatment program. In addition to we strongly encourage and believe in the Twelve Step Program for our alumna. They are a tool to provide a clean and sober lifestyle.
