Why Our Alcohol Detox Works

For over 25 years, Pat Moore Foundation has specialized in alcohol detox programs. In fact, we were featured in recent episodes of A&E’s Intervention (Gabriel’s story). Our programs feature medically-assisted detox for alcohol, and pain-free Suboxone and Subutex treatments for opiate addictions. Many factors are considered in developing an alcohol detox protocol that suits the participant’s needs, factors that include: the amounts of alcohol consumption, age, gender, family history, tolerance, etc.

Mitigating Physical Symptoms of Detox

Managing the physical symptoms of withdrawal associated with the discontinuation of alcohol is an important aspect of the detox process. For the alcoholic, withdrawal from alcohol creates a sense of anxiousness and uneasiness. As for the psychological aspect of the addiction, even those who consume moderate amounts of alcohol may experience withdrawal. At Pat Moore Foundation, we understand how the detox process affects the individual and we specialize in treating both physical and psychological symptoms.

While detoxification exclusively is rarely sufficient in terms of assisting addicts in achieving long-term abstinence, we also recommend residential treatment of up to 90 days (30-day minimum) in conjunction with a customized detox program.

Detox in a Safe Environment

At Pat Moore Foundation detox occurs in a safe, comfortable, home-like environment that is a crucial element for our client’s state of mind. During this process clients are still able to participate in counseling sessions with their case manager and group therapy with their peers, contingent on their physical well-being.

If the individuals require further medical attention, Costa Mesa and the Newport Beach area have renowned hospitals within a few minutes of Pat Moore Foundation’s Costa Mesa campus and facility.
