Rehab Treatment and The Pathway to Unity
On Monday, October 11, 2010 we get the opportunity to celebrate Columbus Day. A number of businesses take the day off, some people feel it is the last big weekend before the shorter days of winter overtake us, and yet there are some who choose to celebrate this weekend by heading off to an AA Roundup, Convention or even taking in an extra meeting.
Whether you've gone through a rehab treatment program, you're trying sobriety for the first time, or you're someone who has some time under his or her belt, hitting a meeting, roundup or convention is never a waste of time.
From Halifax, Nova Scotia to Boise, Idaho there are a lot of conventions and roundups available. If you can't make it to a meeting check our AA.org - a simply great sobriety resource. You certainly are able to select your own convention or roundup, but I'd like to take a moment to recommend one for you. As always, it's all about what works best for you.
Today's recommendation is: Idaho Area 18 Fall 2010, Convention and Assembly - October 8-10th. If you've never been to Boise, or Idaho for that matter, you should consider going at this time of the year. You can add some personal sightseeing after a great weekend of sobriety.
